Lisbon's Africa-inspired global bass star Branko didn't use just one studio for his debut album Atlas – he used five, in five different world cities. Portuguese film-maker and photographer Joao Retorta tagged along with the Buraka Som Sistema co-founder to capture his journey and the result is Atlas Unfolded: a five-part web series charting his sonic exploration and meetings with local musicians.

In episodes one and two, Branko landed in Amsterdam and São Paulo to use those cities' Red Bull Studios. In the latest installment, he's in Cape Town where local star Ruffest takes him under his wing and introduces Branko to the sounds of the townships, with kwaito, gqom and South African house music all playing a leading role. You'll also see him collaborating and chatting with Cape Town scene players Mr. Carmack, Nonku Phiri, Okmalumkoolkat, Sibot and more at part 3:30 above
